Directions by Car

From Vancouver Airport drive south to Tsawwassen and take the ferry to Duke Point (Nanaimo) This is a more direct route. From Duke Point it takes approximately 2 1/2 hours to drive to the Inn.

If you are visiting Victoria first then take the ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay (Victoria). Then from Victoria it takes approximately 4 1/2 hours to drive to the Inn.

From Vancouver Downtown drive north to Horseshoe Bay and take the ferry to Departure Bay (Nanaimo). From Departure Bay it is an approx. 2 1/2 hour drive to the Inn.

BC Ferries Corporation has a complete ferry schedule and rates from the mainland to Vancouver Island listed on their web site We strongly recommend that you make reservations during the summer months and on long holiday weekends. Reservations can be made from their web site.

Directions by Air

From Vancouver Airport you can take local flights from South Terminal to Tofino. This flight is approx. 35 minutes, once in Tofino you are only a 30 minute drive from the Inn.

There are small airlines that fly from the mainland to a variety of destinations on Vancouver Island. Once arriving at your airport destination on Vancouver Island, you can rent a car and drive to A Snug Harbour Inn.
